While for the time being the possibility remains slim, I am just personaly fascinated by the prospects and almost decided to design a second major to fit my idea of what would be necessary. Technology is advancing by leaps and bounds. It is only a matter of time before we are able to travel to other worlds. All it will take is a little more interest and some effort being spent in that area. It is my personal goal. I want to travel to another star system myself while I'm still young. Current estimates talk about a few hundred years, but I for one will not just take that and wait that long. I also would like to avoid the minor little hassle of time dialation for the rest of the world while on the trip. If I or anyone else solves a protion of these things, the possibility of contact will aliens grows. The famous Drake equation, which predicts the number of alien civilizations in the Universe, includes a factor of the life expectancy of any inteligent civilizations. This means that many civilizations have possibly come and gone. With these peices of information in mind, it would be nice if there were a set of guidlines in place for the examination of alien remains.

*This section is under construction as I don't have time to go fully in depth. Some message forum for interaction will be added soon.*
Investigating the remains of an alien civilization provides even more significant difficulties than investigating the remains of many poorly known cultures here on earth. Biological hazards both to the investigation team, as well as potential ill effects of the investigation team on the remains. Not only would the team have to contend with an unknown language and writing, but concepts and emotions might be completely different for the aliens.
